Coach: Christin Bubert
Christin is a Charm City Run customer turned employee turned coach. Christin found the CCR community through the half marathon training groups, and has been hooked ever since. The friends and coaches she met in the groups and through working at the store have inspired her to share her love for running with others. Christin has run 5K through marathon distances and everything in between, and finds happiness and peace of mind in the long run. At her day job, Christin works with kids as a clinical social worker, but is always thinking about the next run and who she can share it with.
Coach: Cody Miles
Meet Cody Miles – a runner whose last name couldn’t be more fitting! He finds running to be an invigorating sport where he can push his physical and mental limits individually, or within the broader Baltimore running community. Having run and raced almost everything under 13.1, when his wife crossed the finish line for her 25th marathon, Cody thought, “Hey, it’s time to catch up!”
But running isn’t his only gig. By day, he’s a high school chemistry teacher, entertaining and stimulating young minds with science awesomeness. And after he hangs up the lab coat, he throws on his favorite trainers and coaches cross country and track. Running is a passion for Cody, and he loves sharing it with anyone who has even the slightest desire to lace up their shoes and pound the pavement. Coach Miles hopes you’ll share some miles with him soon.

We also always offer virtual training options for full marathon training. We can individualize your marathon training plan or sign up for individualized monthly virtual training with access to an expert coach.

Do you have a goal of running 26.2 next spring? Our marathon training program will prepare you to race your best – whether it’s your first or 50th marathon.
Each group will meet twice a week and receive weekly training plans via Final Surge from an expert coach and learn about long runs, tempo runs, track workouts, easy runs, recovery runs, hydration, injury prevention, and much more. Get ready to train for your target marathon!
Our winter marathon groups start on December 14th (Exception: Frederick begins Saturday January 4th, 2025) and will target the Coast Delaware Running Festival on April 13, 2025 or any other spring marathon in the same time frame. Training plans can be adapted to your target race.

Requirements
To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have a base level of running under your belt before joining this group. What does that mean? We ask that you are able to run/walk 8 miles at one time at the start of the program and are currently running at least 15 miles per week. This does not mean you need to be able to run the entire way but just that you are comfortable covering that distance. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements? Don’t worry ask the coach for your location! You will be surprised that most people meet these requirements and are able to join the group.
