ARE YOU PLANNING TO RUN THE SUSQUEHANNA RIVER 10K IN SEPTEMBER?
Our 8 – week 10K training program is designed for beginner and intermediate-level runners who want to improve speed and endurance. Regardless of if you plan to race at the end of the program, this training group will help you develop a consistent running routine.
Group programs are offered at Charm City Run locations. You will meet twice a week for supported group runs with your fellow runners and coach – once for a speed workout and once for a distance run in addition to following a weekly training plan. Your expert coach will provide plenty of advice and running education along the way including tips & tricks for hydration, nutrition and injury prevention.
Our next 10K group starts July 26th, 2025 and targets the Susquehanna River Running Festival on Saturday, September 20th Regardless of if you plan to race at the end of the training program, this group will keep you motivated to train consistently through the summer.
Requirements
To safely meet your goal we do ask that you have a base level of running under your belt before joining this group. What does that mean? We ask that at the beginning of the program you are able to run/walk 3-4 miles at one time and are currently running 10-15 miles per week. This does not mean you need to be able to run the entire way but just that you are comfortable covering that distance. Are you not sure if you meet these requirements? Don’t worry ask the coach for you location. You will be surprised that most people meet these requirements and are able to join the group.
