Beth Quinlan Pritchett

Beth, a native Canadian, was transplanted to the USA when she met her American husband overseas while on a teaching assignment. While traveling and running in new places is one of Beth’s passions, her other passion is building community around running. Beth’s belief in bringing people together, no matter age or ability, can best be seen in her last 15 years of coaching whether from Road Runners Club of America programs, starting running programs at churches, in small elementary, middle and high schools, mixed adult and female groups or just about any one she can convince, including her 2 daughters and husband! As an experienced runner and competitor at multiple distances from 5k to Ultras, Beth will tell you that the best part of marathon training (besides geeking out on mechanics and awesome track workouts) is those long training runs or hard track workouts in a group. Seeing others reach for things that are challenging and succeeding is so inspirational and that shared experience and sense of camaraderie is life changing. Being an RRCA certified coach and achieving multiple PRs and awards in many local races such as, St. Michaels, the Freedom Run, Bird-in-Hand Half Marathon, and the Marine Corp Marathon, this is not what motivates Beth. While PRs and races are wonderful achievements, Beth’s goal is to create a community where healthspan is positively increased and Marathoners become more the norm and not just the 1%.
