As current media sponsors, we welcome WPOC-FM, Clear Channel Outdoor, Baltimore’s Child, and the Daily Record to name a few.

5 Ways to Green Your Race Training
1. Pick a race that's close to home so you don't burn tons of fossil fuels to get to your destination. Take advantage of great races close to home instead of flying or driving to other destinations.
2. When you're training, pick routes in your neighborhood instead of driving across town to hop on a treadmill. Running outside can put you in touch with nature and it's also much more exciting than staring at a wall for an hour.
3. Power up with sustainable foods. Make your own organic granola bars filled with tons of locally grown grains. Snack on local fruits and veggies. Bring snacks to work and eat every few hours so that you never feel too famished. Stay away from the prepackaged eats and wasteful takeout.
4. Wear eco-friendly clothing. Buy workout clothing that's made with sustainable materials like the latest trends made of bamboo, recycled fabrics, and biopolymer. Non-organic cotton is treated with more chemicals than any other crop. Those chemicals are not only devastating for the eco-system but they're not good for you either.
5. Forget the bottled water and hydrate with a SIGG bottle. The United States sends two million tons of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottled water packaging to the landfill each year. This huge waste can easily be avoided by drinking filtered tap water like reverse osmosis filtered water.
