I started Charm City Run in 2002 with my wife Kara. Three stores and 2 kids later (Ben was already born), I feel truly blessed to have had this opportunity. I love to come to work and hope that we have created something worthwhile and not just successful. We should be judged on how we treat the customer, our ability to give people solid advice and guidance, and how well we do for our community.
I treasure the relationships the most, with the customers, community groups and our team. Katie, Tom and Brian have made Charm City Run. They proved that we could do this more than once and that the customer experience would remain at the highest level. Caroline and Marie are ready to take us to the next level. The list goes on with Juda, Marianne, Amanda, Kenny, Wendy and many others who work there because they want to, because they love the sport and on a certain level love each other and the way we do things. The young guns Brad and Courtney in Bel Air and the Annapolis team of Erik, Ed, Marc, Becky and one of the best people I have known Clint and the list goes on.
Kelly Dees has taken what Dave Cooley started and improved on the unimprovable. To know Dave Cooley, have him as a partner and a father figure is a tremendous blessing and then to work with Kelly and watch what she does is simply an honor and privilege.
My family means a lot to me. I am convinced that no matter what happens to Charm City Run we have made a mark on this community, hopefully a positive one. The key however will be to do right by my family and that test lasts much longer. As I read in one of those silly books that my wife gave me before Ben was born..."no one ever died wishing they had spent more time at work and less time with their family." Their support, love and patience have made this journey worthwhile and fun.
